ART SCOUTS

art scouts from all over the world present their artists here and tell their stories. art scouts are door openers and mediators, initiators and moderators.

WHAT MAKES AN ART SCOUT?

art scouts are art lovers with contacts to artists and art lovers. We strive to build a worldwide network of art scouts.

The art scout system allows BE PART OF ART to discover interesting artists, even those from around the world, who are not the focus of the international art market. In addition, with the help of art scouts, we are able to present very recent works by the artists.

More specifically, the activity of an art scout looks like this:

  • Discover interesting new artist
  • Curating new art, i.e. bring the artist's story and some artworks to the BE PART OF ART website
  • Updates with new works by the artists to ensure a high degree of relevance of the site
  • Online communication with art lovers through blogs, social media posts, etc.
  • Events in the own community (exhibitions, lectures etc.)
  • Proposal of eligible social arts projects

HERE WE PRESENT YOU THE FIRST ART SCOUTS:

MICHAEL FRÜHBIS, Germany

MICHAEL FRÜHBISMichael is not a classical curator, no one who lives for the arts, gives everything for them - even though he has repeatedly designed platforms for them and "invested" half his life in them. He studied art, theater and film, later scenography. He built installations, translated novels into rooms, and experimented with different media early on.

But its own art production was not the way - the market too complex, characterized by capital and old power structures. For this reason, concepts for independent festivals and special event formats emerged during their studies - always at the interface of various arts, always with a view to the impact of other cultures.

Today he lives and works in Berlin, with an eye for the local scene.

SEEMA PANDEY, India

SEEMA PANDEYSeema is an artist, art educator and art critic living in Delhi, India. If she does not paint, she teaches art at a school in Delhi and if she does not teach, she writes about art or curates art exhibitions.

Her wide range of activities gives her the opportunity to get in contact with various artists and art experts. Seema spent two years in Japan and since then has also been part of the art circle in Kyoto.

Her interest in people and art has brought her to BE PART OF ART.

DANIEL PIETSCH, Eastern Europe

DANIEL PIETSCHDaniel Pietsch is a founder and entrepreneur in the Berlin start-up scene. His passion for art allowed him to build a network of artists from Russia to Chile.

He is an advocate of the democratization of art in order to open art to a wider audience and to allow it to participate in the art market.

His motivation is the exchange between artists and art lovers, as BE PART OF ART offers.

AROON NAGERSHETH, Germany

AROON NAGERSHETHAroon somehow knows everyone, sometimes just around the corner, and that too is an art! For him, art and everything else in life can not be molded into solid forms. He does not like right and wrong.

Aroon is half Indian without ever having gotten there completely and half Frankfurter without ever having gone away from there. Aroon loves patterns, not shown patterns, but ingenious patterns in the art that arise from lateral thinking.

Digital is the complement to Real and makes Real realer - an asset! The online world is an art world, BE PART OF ART an online art world. And Aroon in the middle of it as art scout!

DIANA MORALES, Mexico

DIANA MORALESDiana-Itzel Morales is a Mexican-born and currently living in Berlin Latin American. Her interest in art from an anthropological point of view led her to collaborate with artists and artisans in Mexico and Berlin, and to follow and document their creative processes.

Her subsequent work in a Latin American art space led to an expansion of her network.

Diana considers understanding an artist's personal and socio-cultural context to be important in order to fully appreciate his art. That brought her to BE PART OF ART.

PETER GRÖNDAHL, Germany

PETER GRÖNDAHLPeter Gröndahl is a kind of culture-holic. He has always been a fanatic of literature and music, and has come late but all the more to fine art.

The idea of supporting talented artists on their way to the public has motivated him to become art scout at BE PART OF ART.

"Art production and art marketing are in my view two pairs of shoes. With my marketing experience I want to keep artists' backs (and minds) free for authentic and exciting art."
