Patricia Kopatchinskaja

Patricia Kopatchinskaja is a well known Moldavian violinist. In 1989, the family emigrated to Vienna, where Patricia Kopatchinskaja studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts. Today she lives in Switzerland, is married and has a daughter.

All this sounds relatively normal, it's just the facts.

Then let's listen to a second version of the story:

Patricia Kopatchinskaja is a well known Moldavian violinist. In 1989, the family emigrated to Vienna and came to a refugee board at the Vienna City Park. His father, once a famous cymbal virtuoso in Moldova, beat himself with Schunk music in a Viennese inn.

This is the same life story, but with a decisive difference. We suddenly see little Patricia in our mind's eye as she walks around with her father in the inn at night with her hat and collects money.

And even more: the story seems somehow familiar to us! How was it with the poor girl who made it to the top to marry the prince?

There are over 200 violinists worldwide at the absolute top level. The general public no longer manages to identify qualitative differences in the class of these musicians. But there are stars like Patricia Kopatchinskaja, who stand out with a special story!

And this story continues to succeed. Patricia Kopatchinskaja always appears barefoot and plays with notes publicly - a taboo break for soloists. And she says things like, "Garage or toilet or Carnegie Hall - I do not care, I'm a migrant child, I play everywhere!"

Hardly to assume that Patricia Kopatchinskaja's career has arrived at the end: the Cinderella story is just too good!

Even if the inclined classical fan hardly gets their difficult last name, one simply knows that Patricia Kopatchinskaja is the violinist who has made it from poor conditions to the very top in the world class. This is the stuff for blockbuster movies (e.g., "Pretty Woman").

Every market needs strong stories, the product market (for example Apple or Red Bull), the sports market (Maradona or Christiano Ronaldo) or the art market (for example Gerhard Richter or Jeff Koons).
